Picnic – CHIMGAN –Beldersay

1. Travel from Avenue Park(altitude: 960 m) to Chimgan area(1680 m), 15 km long. It takes 30 min. A stop near the fire station. Crossing into the Beldersay River Valley

From the fire station the serpentinous path runs steeply up to the Tokhta Kaylau Pass, 1987 m(a flat pastureland), running steeply first up the scree slopes among juniper trees, then considerably obliquely it runs into flat meadows fringed with rare trees. On the way, there is a great diversity of grasses which include medicinal herbs like: Saint-John's-wort, thyme, marjoram, as well as flowers: blueflags, desert-candle, etc. It will take 45 min before reaching the pass. On the pass beautiful views open to the Nurekata River Valley with passes of Urta Kumbel and Chet Kumbel, as well as to the Kumbel Moutain which is equipped with a chair-lift… The descending path runs through picturesque juniper groves and beautiful fields on which local herdsmen graze their livestock and leads to a bee farm on the Beldersay River bank. The descent takes 1.5 hours.

2. Ascent by chair-lift. It takes 20 min.

Now you are facing the mountain called Kumbel, it is 2,300 m high above sea level. We can say it is the best place in this area for hiking and the lovers of mountain skiing are provided with a piste officially registered with FIS(International Moutain Skiers’ federation). The piste is provided with a chair-lift and a platter pull and covers extensive areas for skiing. Theoretically the resort may be divided into three areas of downhill skiing of different complexity levels, so everyone will find something that he likes. A back country program can be organized with a skilled guide.

3. Descent by chair-lift, It takes 20 min.

4. The Picnic.

5. Return to the hotel.
