Hunting and fishing
Among protected natural territories of Uzbekistan there are 9 national parks the total area is 2164 square kilometers, 2 national natural parks and the Republican center on cultivating of rare animals the total area is 6061 square kilometers. 6 of them are National parks (Surhan, Nurata, Zarafshan, Zamin, Kizilkum), one is Zamin national natural park, and also 6 hunting economies (Dalverzin, Karakul, the Kazakh-Darya, Kungirad, Bukhara, Aydar – Arnasay) are the parts of department of reserves, national parks and the hunting economies. Besides it, grounds of the “State Wood fund” is about above 8 million hectares, of them state forest-hunting economies of 3078 million hectares that makes 38% of total area of the grounds of forest fund.
In our country there is not only ancient world famous cities, as Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and Termez, ancient architectural monuments, which attract foreign tourist. There is also wonderful nature, which is connected with ecotourism landscapes (steppes, deserts, mountains, a plateau), various of rare flora and fauna. Unique archeological finds of world importance, paleontologist remains, rare geological curs, a natural heritage which totals more than 8000 monuments.
In the economy department there are rivers and lakes which are used for hunting and fishing. There are of vertebrate animals: 44 kinds of them fishes, 2 kinds of amphibious, 49 kinds of kowtowing. 32 kinds of birds, 7 kinds of kowtowing and 13 kinds of mammals are brought in the Red Book of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Only in Baday-Tukay, Zarafshan, reserves Kizilkum you can see a Bukhara deer, Nurata Severstov's Argali, in Surhan Tadjik Markhor, the Bukhara urial, in Zamin a brown bear, and also rare kinds of birds. In Dalverzin, which is in 107 km in southwest from city of Tashkent, lives the wild boar, the Jackal, from birds a kite, a pheasant, a wild duck and a fish here live. On the given object favorable conditions for successful carrying out of various directions of ecological tourism.
