Traditions
The ethnic structure of Uzbeks run between two Central Asian rivers, now called Sirdarya and Amudarya, as well as in places nearby. It is in close interaction with the ancient peoples of Central Asia - sogds, baktrians, saks, massagets and other tribes, although the ethnic name "Uzbeks" was established some time later.
Traditionally Uzbeks were engaged with irrigation agriculture, handicraft, trade and stock-breeding.
The institution of family as the society's foundation is the main fact that influences the social and demographic situation in Uzbekistan.
The national characteristics of the Uzbek people are clearly seen in their customs, traditions, clothing, food and the interior decorations of their homes.
