Works of fine art restored
The Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan carried out a project called “Rehabilitation and restoration of unique works of fine art”. The project aimed at studying the history of national and world art, stages of their development and modern trends, as well as implementation of large-scale research in this field.
Along with famous artists, art historians and restorers of Uzbekistan, French specialists also participated in the restoration works. In the framework of the project, a series of paintings by famous artists were restored in the State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan and the Karakalpakstan State Art Museum.
Besides, a number of seminars and round-table discussions were organized, which considered issues of restoration and preservation of artistic heritage.
